. Dr. Ralph A. Weisheit is a Distinguished Professor of Criminal Justice and Outstanding University Researcher at Illinois State University, where he has been employed since August of 1982. He has published numerous articles, book chapters, and essays.Frank T. Weisheit has appeared on the CBS news program "60 Minutes" and in the PBS documentary series "Frontline" on the issue of domestic marijuana cultivation. He received his PhD in history at University of Chicago and was awarded a Fulbright Award to teach in China for a semester in 1998. He has authored or co-authored six books, including "Crime and Policing in Rural and Small-Town America" with David N. Falcone and L. Edward Wells. Weisheit received his PhD in sociology from Washington State University and has been named a Fellow in the Academy of Criminal Justice
