It was the first book I ordered when I received my candle. I would highly recommend that the dad read the whole book first, not just the first half. (The author is a practicing gastroenterologist, a nutritionist, and a self-proclaimed “physician scientist.”)• I thought I’d heard it all when it comes to IBS, but I came away from DR. Barry Meier has a good, relaxed writing style that keeps the attention of the reader through what could be a dull subject to many. First off, there are no secrets. He makes this world accessible and, somehow, beautiful. One can't help but become more aware of the value of nutritionally-dense, organic food and how it affects one's health when the yard becomes the supermarket. The latter places are our bench mark.. Holy crap! This book was hilarious! I had no idea how many laughs I was in store for. This book is amazing. Then only in some of the hotels the housekeepers are learned that they don’t need to exercise, as they by their daily work already are exercising using enough calories. I was sucked into the story immediately. I was disappointed, however, that most of the book was geared towards women in their fifties; much if it did not pertain to women beyond that age.
