The book also covers the most commonly used programming/scripting language — JavaScript — and provides readers with a roadmap of other Web technologies to learn after mastering this book to add more functionality to their sites.. It follows standards-based principles, but also teaches readers ways around problems they are likely to face using (X)HTML.While XHTML is the "current" standard, the book still covers HTML because many people do not yet understand that XHTML is the official successor to HTML, and many readers will still stick with HTML for backward compatibility and simpler/informal Web pages that don't require XHTML compliance. The book teaches basic principles of usability and accessibility along the way, to get users into the mode of developing Web pages that will be available to as many viewers as possible from the start. Among the pluses I found with this book were: Written by an M.D.who has the training & experience to author such a book Published in Dec of 2010 so quite current Small enough of take along whether traveling on a trip or slipping in a diaper bag when overnighting with family or friends, or just out shopping Also with its size, it would be easier to initially scan the book so in an emergency situation it would be easier to locate needed information ASAP in the bookI might add, both copies were very well received by my grandchildren who have babies . This material is difficult enough without mistakes in the proofs and explanations.Without the huge errata I would have happily given this book 5 stars, but for now I give it 2.. For being a technical book, this was a very nice read. In models of rational agents efficiently maximizing everything, little can go wrong unless government makes it go wrong." Which is a polite way of saying that economists of this stripe take "government" as a word of art, referring not to any actual institution but to the sum of "irrational" forces that they cannot model, or choose not to. Overall, I don't think that the book, which is very cheaply made, is worth its very high price.. She greatly underestimated him.Blake was the typical cocky ladies man.
