They do not require any writing, which is the downfall of many early learning books.-It is well thought out and has taken us through some concepts I may not have thought of myself, like the difference between counting and counting out items, and subitizing. What I don't like:-The price: the book is a thin paperback and I was expecting a weightier volume for the price. First off, relate stories to him. It's a lot of the kinds of stuff we already know about investing in stocks and mutual funds and CERTAINLY isn't sexy. As psychologists, the authors should know that the people this book is intended for will tune out and miss salient points. So actually, I am not actually reviewing the content of the book but confirming that you can't judge a book by its cover.. This is unfortunate and in some ways unfair. I would rate these as the next step up beyond "the Magic School Bus" for science loving kids. We live on the Gulf coast and enjoy saltwater and freshwater fishing. This book delves more deeply into the intellectual and emotional benevolence that such a society would present to a shattered world. I purchased this book for homeschooling purposes. Despite following an overdone theme, this book brings me back to why that theme is so pop
